After a break of around 3 weeks, Ligue 1 is back this weekend, and to start the year we were treated to a great match between OGC Nice and Jorge Sampaoli's Stade Rennais. For this first match of 2025, it was the Aiglons who won 3 to 2 at the end of a prolific match in goals. After a lesson in Nice realism in the first half (3-1), the Bretons pushed in the second half without however managing to catch up. Final result, 3 to 2 for Franck Haise's men, who, thanks to this victory, temporarily moved into the top 4 with 27 points.
To be continued today, Saint-Étienne – Reims at 5 p.m. then an interesting Lille – Nantes at 7 p.m. In the match of 21h these are the Lyonnais of Pierre Sage who will receive the Montpellier residents of Jean Louis Gasset.
