Brazilian defender Adryelson seems more than ever on the verge of leaving Olympique Lyonnais. Returning from his loan to Botafogo, the 25-year-old player, under contract with OL until 2028, was not selected by Pierre Sage for the match against Montpellier, confirming that his future will probably not be written between Rhône and Saône.
An inevitable departure
Since his return to Lyon, Adryelson has not been integrated into the coach's plans, in particular because of his status as a non-community player, a constraint that the club wishes to alleviate to facilitate possible recruits. His contractual situation, although assured until 2028, does not guarantee continuity at Lyon, the club being determined to part ways with the defender.
Suitors seeking agreement
There is no shortage of Adryelson's courtiers, but OL's financial demands are slowing down negotiations. Cruzeiro and CSKA Moscow, initially interested, would have been cooled by the asking price. However, new avenues are emerging. According to RMC Sport, Trabzonspor, Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia and Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan have initiated discussions with the player's representatives.
A transfer in sight, but what destination?
With several clubs in the running, Adryelson's departure seems inevitable. It remains to be seen which of the suitors will manage to come to an agreement with OL to secure the services of the defender. A decision could come in the coming days, marking the end of the Lyon adventure for the player.
