The departmental commission for territorial postal presence of Eure met on December 4, 2024 at the prefecture

The commission, made up of elected officials, ensures that La Poste achieves the objectives of the 6th territorial postal presence contract. It thus follows the modalities of dialogue and evolution of the forms of postal presence in the department and the allocation of resources from the equalization fund, which aims to finance the territorial planning mission.

In the Eure department, the 2024 allocation of €210,287 enabled 7 municipal agencies to benefit from work or development.

Postal presence in Eure:

  • the Eure department includes 147 contact points: 70 post offices, 24 relay posts and 53 municipal or intercommunal agency posts;
  • 21 postmen and tellers work in the department.

These locations allow 91.5% of the European population to access a contact point in the department within 5 km and less than 20 minutes by car, which is above the national objective of the postal presence contract, which is 90%.

The La Poste delegate was also able to present the 2025 projects to the commission, in particular a establishment in Romilly-sur-Andelle of a “ services labeled + postman counter antenna”, model validated by the ANCT for an “augmented” France services space allowing residents of a wider area to access the service.

This meeting was also an opportunity to present to mayors the services developed by La Poste in the regions, particularly for seniors (mobility remote assistance, medication deliveries).
