FC Nantes has started its winter transfer window, even before officially entering the period authorized to strengthen itself. This Monday, the Loire club announced the arrival of Anthony Lopes within it for a period of six months, plus two optional seasons. This recruitment has direct consequences on Alban Lafont, until then the holder of the goalkeeper position and who in turn becomes an undesirable element.
Florent Mollet pushed out of FC Nantes?
Pushed towards the exit, the former Toulouse resident might not leave alone this winter. West France discusses the case of Florent Mollet, the midfielder who will enter the last six months of his contract with FC Nantes on January 1. This is therefore the last window for the Canaries to obtain compensation in return for his departure, otherwise he will leave free on June 30, at the end of the current 2023-2024 season.
An accounting valuation of half a million euros this winter
The former FC Metz and Montpellier HSC player arrived in Nantes in January 2023, from Schalke 04 in Germany. To hire him, the FCN paid 1.5 million euros for his transfer and the player signed a contract for a season and a half. To fully amortize it in the accounting sense, between the payment of the compensation and the duration of the lease, FC Nantes would therefore have to sell it for half a million euros this winter. The 33-year-old player is still valued at the million and a half euros that his club has invested, by the Transfermarkt platform.
