Summer recruit from LOSC, Ngal'ayel Mukau is, according to a recent study, one of the best young individuals in his field.
Launched at a breathtaking pace at the end of 2024, the CIES Football Observatory recently published a report presenting the players from 65 leagues born in 2004 or later who performed the best during the current season. These are then sorted into different categories corresponding to their position on the meadow, as well as their technical characteristics.
For his part, Ngal'ayel Mukau (20 years old) was classified in the category of defensive midfielders. This relates to footballers who differ mainly in their recovery capacity. Warren Zaire-Emery (18 years old) leads this selection with a score of 86.4 on the following criteria: Ground defense, distribution, percussion, assistance, finishing and aerial play. The French international is ahead of Rico Lewis (20 years old, Manchester City) and Carlos Baleba (20 years old, Brighton), former resident of LOSC.
Landed this summer with the Mastiffs, Ngal'ayel Mukau (18 games, two goals with Lille this season) is placed in nineteenth position, among the twenty best young players in this position around the globe. He stands out in particular through his distribution qualities, in aerial play and in terms of ground defense, when the rest of the indicators remain weak. Its market value fluctuates between 18 and 21 million euros, compared to around a hundred for Warren Zaire-Emery.
