It is a huge wind of budgetary control that the DNCG is blowing over French clubs. The body has just spared Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco.
A few weeks ago, Olympique Lyonnais was beaten to the punch by the National Management Control Department. A decision that President John Textor had tried to neglect before realizing the seriousness of the situation.
But like OL, many clubs were waiting for a decision from the body. Precisely, this Wednesday, the DNCG ruled on the financial situation of all these teams. The auditions went well for PSG and AS Monaco.
In addition to the two Lens, Strasbourg, Auxerre and Nantes are also spared. It’s a real relief for the Canaries. Last June, the financial policeman of French football announced a regulation of the payroll at the Nantes club. As a reminder, the DNCG has placed two clubs on suspension.
Can Monaco go for the title ahead of PSG?
