“The beginning of real activism”
Yannick Bodin has been practicing trade unionism for over twenty years. A farmer since 1997, after taking over the family farm, he joined the Young Farmers (JA) from 2000 to 2007. “I was a simple representative, at that time, we just followed our elders”he remembers. It was from 2008 that a break was made with the majority unions. “I used to be a dairy farmer. In 2008, Sofivo broke the contracts and nothing happened. I felt betrayed by unionism. »
The dairy crisis of 2009 was also a major turning point in his career. He got involved in the Association of Independent Milk Producers and participated in the dumping of thousands of liters of milk in front of Le Mont-Saint-Michel. “It was the beginning of real activism. »
