About twenty years ago, Bertrand Thérouderesident of the hamlet of Gournay, Fontaine-Bellengerbetween Louviers and Gaillon (Eure), had lent a small plot of its land to the municipality.
“It was in January 2000, at the time of Paulette Laroche. We had to find land to install the bus shelter for the kids who went to middle or high school,” says the man who is an opposition municipal councilor in the village.
From summer 2023a new bus shelter has been installed a hundred meters further. Then the owner would like to recover the use of the land.
“At the time, I signed an occupancy agreement with the municipality which undertook to restore the land within three months after my request,” explains Bertrand Théroude, who expressed his wish on several occasions.
Pending since July 2023
Requests which were left “dead letter” by the current municipal team according to its statements.
“I even received a letter from the mayor dated January 2023 explaining to me that the bus shelter was going to be removed no later than July 31, 2023. It is November 2024 and I am still waiting…” regrets the one who repeats that He does not intend to run again in the next elections.
“The problem is that the bus shelter is abandoned, there are people who come to pee their dogs or drink beers. This leaves a disgusting piece of land at the end of my garden”
The mayor explains that “it’s the Agglo which is delaying”
For his part, Jean-Claude Duplouismayor, confirms that the bus shelter should have been removed on Bertrand Théroude's land since the summer of 2023.
However, and despite the agreement which binds the local resident with the municipality, he adds: “It is not up to us to do it but to the Seine-Eure Agglo which was committed to it and which is delaying a bit like everywhere. »
