This investigation, in the hands of the specialized interregional jurisdiction (Jirs) of Marseille, had already made progress last March.
This Wednesday, December 4, the Bastia judicial police and the research section of the Corsican gendarmerie carried out new arrests as part of the investigation into the assassination of Paul-Félix Paoli, killed on August 24, 2023 on the parking lot of La Caravelle, an establishment in the municipality of Poggio-Mezzana, of which he was the manager. Four people were taken into custody, information confirmed by the Marseille prosecutor, Nicolas Bessone. In the evening, according to our information, they were still heard.
Last March, Paul-André Contadini was indicted for “homicide by an organized gang and criminal conspiracy” in this case.
Justice suspects him of being involved in the crime of this business leader, well known in the eastern plain region. According to our information, he could have notably provided “material means”in particular a vehicle.
“Mr. Contadini firmly contests all the amalgamations against him in this matterexplained his lawyer, Me Marc-Antoine Luca, at the time. He maintains his innocence on all the facts with which he is accused (…).”
Paul-Félix Paoli, a 51-year-old trader, managed several companies in the real estate sector. He was known to the courts for acts of financial delinquency, violations of weapons legislation and extortion.
Police custody, which has barely started, can last 96 hours.
