OM got the better of AS Monaco this Sunday evening in Ligue 1. Enough to allow the Phocaeans to take the place of runner-up to Saint-Germain.

Roberto De Zerbi's men reacted well at home this Sunday evening in Ligue 1 by beating AS Monaco. A 2-goal victory which was decided at the end of the match thanks to a penalty scored by Mason Greenwood, after an equalizer following a defensive blunder by ASM. This success allows OM to now be in second place and to gain confidence for the rest of the operations. At the start of the week, many fans and observers are jubilant. But this is not at all the case for Christophe Dugarry, who quite simply found the performance of the Phocaeans catastrophic…

Dugarry didn't like what he saw at all

On the antennaRMCthe consultant did not in fact speak the language on the subject, showing himself to be quite worried for the Phocaeans if nothing changes soon for them: “It’s a relief, I’m sure. That the supporters are behind the players, so much the better, but I found the match catastrophic. It's a weakness… It's playing ball. There are too many backward passes. I saw players paralyzed. I didn't feel that the players had regained confidence. For what ? I don't know. The left side is slow. Poor Garcia doesn't have the level. Rabiot is even slower than him, there is nothing, no risks taken. The number of technical fouls from Rabiot and Greenwood… I'm sorry. There is nothing. Monaco gives them the match. I didn't see any mental resources. They did not go for the two goals. They didn't push. I didn't feel that”. After their victory against Monaco, OM will have two more big Ligue 1 matches to finish this year 2024. First in Saint-Etienne then at home against LOSC.
