OL: A strange manipulation of Textor at 100 ME denounced

OL is in a chaotic financial situation and the DNCG wanted to strike hard. The body banned Les Gones from winter recruitment. Worse, it declared relegation to Ligue 2 as a precautionary measure at the end of the season.

OL are not coping. If the Rhone residents are doing better from a sporting point of view, internally, there are many tensions. And they are due to a more than shaky financial situation since the arrival at the club of John Textor. The American businessman and his opaque finances could end up considerably damaging OL. As things currently stand, Les Gones will see Ligue 2 next season if the situation does not improve very quickly. If John Textor recently wanted to reassure at a press conference, things would be quite complex for him… And it is not the latest information from Olivier Salmon which will prove the opposite.

Textor, its dangerous game denounced

According to the OL specialist via his X account, John Textor recently “transmitted an equivalent sum of 100 million euros from OL coffers to those of Botafogo to pay off their own debts”. If this information turns out to be true, it would further weaken the financial situation at OL with the DNCG and show that Textor is playing a very dangerous game with its clubs. As a reminder, next winter, the American wants to find between 125 and 150 million euros with sales, but including Botafogo. He estimates sales for OL at 55 million euros and wants to reduce the number of professional players under contract from 30 to 23 or 24 names. As mentioned, nearly 6 players could leave the ship in the coming weeks. Abner Vinicius, Saël Kumbedi, Maxence Caqueret, Mahamadou Diawara, Rayan Cherki, Malick Fofana, Saïd Benrahma, Ernest Nuamah and Gift Orban are notably concerned.
