In Rothen ignites on RMC, Christophe Dugarryformer player of Girondins de and consultant, notably returned to the performance of the French team which won 3-1 in Italy.

« I often talk about the pleasure of watching a match, I have had little of it in recent months with this French team which has often bored me. I wanted to skip or I almost fell asleep. That was not the case on Sunday. I let myself be carried away by the match, I let myself be carried away by the poster, by the players who I found in good spirits, who I found willing. They gave a lot of desire, a lot of intensity, whether in midfield or up front. Attackers who made a lot of effort with Kolo Muani. I find that this boy is remarkable for his generosity, his desire and, at times, his qualities too. He's a good player despite everything he's been through since the start of the season. In midfield it's perfect too, it was good. It's generous, it's a lot of effort. Behind it is organized. Honestly, I got carried away, I enjoyed watching that match. Afterwards there are things to review on the technical quality of the midfielder, on the offensive players who are little capable of making differences one on one despite their generosity. Or, have the pass just in the last third of the field, where you have to be decisive. It's more complicated. Then at the end of that match I said to myself 'Listen, it was great, I had a good time'. I was happy, I had fun, but I said to myself 'Does this team, with these eleven starters, have a future?' I don't think so. But despite everything, you do with the players you have on the bench, a kind of turnover. »
