Discreet this season, preferring to let “the actors speak”, Baptiste Malherbe agreed to speak. While AJA occupies a nice and surprising 9th place after eleven days in Ligue 1, the executive president appreciates the progress of his club, but he does not get excited, aware that “the season will still be long”.
How do you judge the first third of the AJA season?
Paradoxically, there is both satisfaction, in terms of accounting and the latest performances, but also a little frustration at having missed a few matches, particularly on the road. But I remember the positive more. The staff and the team were able to correct a few points and quickly get up to speed. We must be very careful, because there is still a long way to go in a difficult and homogenous Ligue 1. Beyond that, when we take a step back, we are happy because what we have been putting in place for several years, both in sports and non-sporting areas, is bearing fruit. The players take ownership of it, the staff is on track and the public supports our project. It's a great satisfaction.
