Zapping Foot National Interview – The underside of amateur Football, with Romain Molina
The number of relegations from national championships has been changed. Due to the demotion of the Girondins de Bordeaux to National 2, the French third division has seventeen teams instead of eighteen. In a press release, the Federal Commission for Senior Practices of the French Football Federation (FFF) announces that “all 13ths of N2 2024/2025 will therefore be maintained for the following season.” Conversely, the last three of each group will be relegated to National 3 (nine descents).
>> National: the program for the 12th day
>> National 2: the complete program for the 10th day
>> National 3: the complete program for the 8th day
The N3 also concerned
The fifth French division is also impacted by this decision. The Federal Commission for Senior Practices of the French Football Federation (FFF) adds that “all 10ths of N3 2024/2025 will be maintained for the following season.” Therefore, there will be four descents per group (or forty teams). The body explains that “adjustments or modifications may still take place if the sporting field for the 2024/2025 season evolves in the future.”
