PSG confirms its place on the podium of European football clubs which generate the most revenue (with Real Madrid and Manchester City). A study by the Center for Sports Law and Economics (CDES) reveals the considerable impact of the club on the Ile-de-France economy for the 2023-2024 season. And on this occasion, we learn that at 805 million euros in turnover generated as of June 30, it is a new record for the club.
PSG generates 2,379 full-time equivalent jobs
This is a performance which is part of a dynamic of continuous growth, showing an average increase of 17.9% per year since 2011. Value creation for the region reached 243 million euros, up 25% over the last five years.
The club's impact goes beyond the sporting framework. PSG generates 2,379 full-time equivalent jobs, divided between direct (746), indirect (291) and induced (1,342) jobs. The organization of sporting events remains the main lever of value creation, representing 74.6 million euros.
The club's social and tax contribution amounts to 371 million euros for the 2023-2024 season, an increase of 44% compared to 2018-2019. This sum represents 7.4% of the regional budget, placing PSG at the level of large CAC40 companies in terms of contribution to public finances. Since 2011, the club and its stakeholders have contributed nearly 3 billion euros to public finances.
A territorial anchor strengthened by the operations of the PSG Foundation
“Although PSG has become an international brand, its heart remains in Greater Paris, where our most loyal supporters live. Since 2011, we have built a successful, job-creating and socially engaged company, in particular through PSG For Communities which supports youth”indicates the new general director of the club, Victoriano Melero.
Beyond the economic figures, PSG strengthens its territorial roots through PSG For Communities, which brings together the philanthropic activities of the Foundation and the Endowment Fund. This season, more than 450 operations were carried out, affecting nearly 15,000 young people. Since 2000, more than 300,000 beneficiaries have been supported.
