In an interview with Zack Nani on his show Zack en Roue Libre, Florian Thauvin recounted an incident that occurred after an OM match. As he was driving away from the stadium, an 18-year-old fan spat on him, although the spit landed on the steering wheel. Exasperated by the attitude of the public and the provocation of the supporter, Thauvin reacted violently.

Swept into the street

“People were blocking, I couldn’t move forward, we couldn’t do anything,” says Thauvin. People were starting to come: ‘you suck.’ And there, a guy – an 18 year old – comes and spits a bitch at me, crazy stuff. He doesn’t touch me, it happens on the steering wheel of the car. I can say it today because it won’t have any consequences now. I got out of my car – I left it in the middle of the street with 30 or 40 people around – I chased the guy for 10 meters and I hit him with a space brush. He went up like that, he fell like that. I insulted him, got back in my car, people took videos and I left. » This bloodshed could have taken place in August 2015, after OM’s defeat against , a match marked by the shock resignation of coach Marcelo Bielsa.
