– Stade / Jota: “Positive pressure”

In an interview with Ouest-, Jota talks about his first steps in Rennes and the current context surrounding the team.

At a press conference yesterday, Hans Hateboer wanted to be positive about the current situation at Stade Rennes. Before the trip to Brest, the experienced defender affirmed his confidence in the team, who according to him need time to know each other and perform.

Another new player, Jota only played half an hour with the SRFC, entered twice, and was bothered by a physical problem after a “truncated preparation” this summer, during which the Portuguese trained very little.

A month and a half after his arrival, the striker eagerly awaited by the Rennes public is back but may not start against Brest, if we are to believe Julien Stéphan’s press conference on Thursday. Jota spoke for Ouest-France on the current situation, and like Hateboer, positive.

“Obviously we would like to have different results, we work hard for that, but sometimes in football it’s not that easy… It’s a process, you can’t hope that everything will click overnight”he confides. “But we have ambition and we will have to show courage to please our fans. We are all aware of what the club is, its objectives, and for me it is positive pressure. »
