The Football Club will change dimension with the upcoming arrival of the Arnault family and the Red Bull group. The third largest fortune in the world could pay up to €100 million to get their hands on the capital’s other team currently playing in Ligue 2, with officialization imminent.

This is news that may well shake up French football. Still in Ligue 2, the Paris FC will largely revise its ambitions upwards by being bought by the Arnault family, which will initially recover 55% of the club’s shares before reaching the 85% mark by 2027 for an amount between 60 and €100M according to information disclosed by the weekly Challenges. The variable part will depend on the presence or absence of Paris FC in Ligue 1 at the time Pierre Ferracci will leave his post. The 15% of the capital will go to the group Red Bull.

Formalization next week?

Challenges also specifies that the deal has not yet been signed, but it will not be long since the formalization should take place on October 17. Negotiations reportedly began last spring through the Rothschild bank, mandated by the current boss of the PFC Pierre Ferracci to find a buyer.

Other suitors for Paris FC

Other contenders were vying to get their hands on the Paris FClike a Saudi fund or two American investors represented by Jacques-Henri Eyraudthe former president of loon.
