When Borussia was threatened with a similar frustration after the 2-0 deficit in the 21st minute as in the 5-1 defeat in Stuttgart, Guirassy proved to be a savior in an emergency. It wasn’t just his two goals (44th/75th minute) that contributed to the successful comeback. In a duel with former Dortmund player Felix Passlack, the 28-year-old could only be stopped by a foul. Emre Can (61′) safely converted the penalty.
