“She is undergoing intensive treatment”, the complainant reveals photos of her injuries

The woman who accuses Oscar Jégou and Hugo Auradou, the two French rugby players, of rape, has sent photos to the local press showing the injuries she claims to have suffered.

A new chapter has opened in the case that is shaking the world of French rugby. The woman who accuses rugby players Oscar Jégou and Hugo Auradou of rape has just sent photos to the local press that are supposed to attest to the violence she allegedly suffered.

The images, released by the Argentine newspaper Daily One, show injuries visible under the eye, on the chin, chest, and leg, confirming the fifteen hematomas identified during his medical examinations after the night of July 6-7, in Mendoza.

Shocking images to support his complaint

The photos mark a turning point in an already complex case. The plaintiff, a 39-year-old Argentinian, claims to have been attacked after a match between the French XV and the Pumas. The two rugby players, who have since left Mendoza for Buenos Aires, are currently awaiting the examination of a request for dismissal of the case. They admit to having had sexual relations with the complainant, but insist that they were consented and deny any form of violence. However, these images reinforce the victim’s version, according to which she suffered physical violence during that evening.

The plaintiff’s condition is now worrying. According to her lawyers, Natacha Romano and Mauricio Cardello, she is in a very disturbed emotional state and is following intensive treatment. According to Mr. Cardello, she tried to commit suicide twice, the last attempt having taken place last Friday. Her condition is now stable, but she remains under close surveillance, assisted by psychiatrists from the public hospital. “She is in a distraught emotional state,” said one of her lawyers, adding that she “is currently undergoing intensive treatment.”

A tense investigation

This case, already under high tension, intensifies with the publication of these photos. The decision of the prosecution to release the two rugby players had already raised questions. The prosecution had justified their release by pointing the finger at “notorious contradictions” in the complainant’s version, particularly on the issue of consent. Despite this, the complainant’s lawyers continue to maintain that their client was indeed the victim of sexual abuse. Mr. Cardello reaffirmed that they would categorically oppose any dismissal of the case and would continue their fight for justice to be done.

As the case continues to be examined, the future of Jégou and Auradou remains uncertain. The two athletes have not yet been charged, but the media pressure around this case continues to grow. Their lawyers maintain that the relations were consensual, but the publication of these photos could change the situation. Justice will have to decide between two radically opposed versions. The Jégou-Auradou case is not only a legal drama, it also divides public opinion. Between support for the rugby players and solidarity with the complainant, reactions are strong on both sides. The debate on consent and violence in intimate relationships is rekindled, and the next developments will be crucial for the continuation of this delicate case.
