Wydad in the footsteps of Hamza Mendyl?

Under contract with OH Leuven until June 2025, the Atlas Lion could return to his training club, Wydad Casablanca, during the next transfer window (January 15-31, 2025).

According to a well-informed source, the management of the Reds has established contact with the former left back of the Atlas Lions to secure his services. The same source indicates that discussions between the two clubs have already taken place. However, the negotiations are still at an initial stage.

This season, the 27-year-old left-back has played 673 minutes or 14 games in the Jupiler Pro League and Croky Cup, with just one assist to his name.

Furthermore, Hamza Mendyl has played for several European clubs, including LOSC Lille, Schalke 04, Dijon and Gaziantep FK.
