It was the January 7, 2015 late morning. While the members of the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo held their editorial conference of the week, two men burst into the room with heavy weapons and shot. Dramatic outcome: eight journalists were cowardly murdered. The victims' names are Elsa Cayat, Mustapha Ourrad, Bernard Maris, Wolinski, Honiré, Tignous, Charb and Cabu. Cabu who was a designer and whom the host Dorothée loved so much.
Last December, the emblematic presenter of “Club Dorothée” spoke about it. It was duringa press conference to present Thank you Dorothy!. A program that the first channel will devote to him on January 24. “Like many, I didn't understand and I still can't understandto tell me that he is no longer here, that we can no longer laugh with him. I was extremely sad. Like everyone else” she said.
It must be said that the two had become friends after Cabu caricatured Dorothy with a long nose. They had got to know each other during their collaboration for “Récré A2”the show for young people broadcast from 1978 to 1988 on the second channel. Cabu appeared there regularly.

Faced with journalists, the 71-year-old woman told an anecdote. “We didn't want to see his drawings before, otherwise it wouldn't be funny. One day, he lifted his famous yellow sheet, William Leymergie saw the drawing, turned completely white and said: “No, there is no question of that!”. Cabu was very happy with what he had done. I never knew what he drew!“, she adds. “He was cool” concluded Dorothée who must live a particularly difficult daye.
Let us remember, all the same, that the attack by the Kouachi brothers left eight people dead at the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo more there were four other victims that day. Michel Renaudwho came from Clermont-Ferrand, was a guest of the editorial staff. Moreover, Frédéric Boisseau was responsible for operations at Sodexo. Finally two police officers fell under the bullets of terrorists: Franck Brinsolaro et Ahmed Merabet.
This attack will be the start of a week of horror with, on January 8, the murder of policewoman Clarissa Jean-Philippe in Montrouge by Amedy Coulibaly. The latter who will take hostage, the next day, the staff and customers of the Hyper Cacher store at Porte de Vincennes. With: four dead, three customers and one employee. Ceremonies are planned throughout the week.
