This Tuesday morning, the city of Montrouge will name its police station after Clarissa Jean-Philippe in homage to the municipal police officer killed ten years ago by the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly.

On January 8, 2015, the day before the attack on the Hyper Kosher at Porte de Vincennes, a young police officer from the town of Montrouge in Hauts-de-Seine was killed by Amedy Coulibaly. A municipal officer was also injured that day.
In a video posted on January 6 on the city's website, the mayor of the town, Etienne Lengereau, announced the decision of the municipal council of the city of “give the name of Clarissa Jean-Philippe to our municipal police headquarters”.
The mayor recalls that 10 years ago, “the municipal police officer was shot dead by an Islamist terrorist”. This tragedy has marked our city continues the mayor and he invites “all the agents of our city and all the residents to be present this January 8” in front of the police station.
“Clarissa will always remain in my heart, she is my joy of life”, explains Jonathan, municipal police officer in Montrouge. Emmanuel Macron and his Prime Minister François Bayrou arrived around 11:30 a.m. in Montrouge to pay tribute to Clarissa Jean-Philippethe 26-year-old policewoman killed by terrorist Amedy Coulibaly, on January 8, 2015. Anne Hidalgo, Yaël Braun-Pivet (Member of Parliament for Yvelines) and Gérald Darmanin were also present.
A minute of silence was observed in Montrouge in tribute to the young municipal police officer killed ten years ago to the day by the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly.
“This attack left an indelible scar in our hearts and in the history of our city,” declared the city's mayor Etienne Lengereau (UDI) during his speech. Clarissa Jean-Philippe “was in the service of the Republic and that is why she was the target of this assassin”, he added.
Wreaths of flowers were then placed at the foot of the commemorative plaque, then the bells rang out, before the Marseillaise.
This commemoration marks the tenth anniversary of the attacks of January 2015 which deeply marked France.
