The publication of the tariff relating to the electricity network contributes to reducing the energy bill, in particular the solar energy produced and distributed to the Moroccan consumer, indicated, Monday in the House of Representatives, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali .
In response to an oral question from the National Rally of Independents group on “the assessment of achievements in the field of solar energy”, Ms. Benali underlined that the publication of this pricing with complete transparency and regularity is part of the the promulgation of Law No. 19-40, supplementing and modifying Law No. 09-13 relating to renewable energies and Law No. 15-48 relating to the regulation of the electricity sector and the creation of the Authority National Electricity Regulation (ANRE).
She added that the publication of this tariff, which began in January 2024, will also reduce the gap between ANRE, the National Electricity Office and investors in the field of solar energy, putting forward the measures taken by the ministry to mobilize the necessary investments, particularly in the field of solar energy.
In this context, the minister indicated that “the medium voltage electricity network has been opened and that the joint decision with the Ministry of the Interior concerning the envelopes for the injection of electrical energy from renewable sources into the network medium voltage electricity has been published”, specifying that “this decision will be published regularly every year or every two years, which represents an important step in this area”.
Among the measures taken, adds the minister, are tax incentives adopted such as exemption from Value Added Tax in accordance with the 2022 finance law for products and materials used in the manufacture of solar panels purchased by the manufacturers of these equipment.
