After two first men in and near , a third Algerian influencer was arrested on Sunday January 5 in after violent remarks made on social networks, announced the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, on X. The mayor of and the prefect of Hérault reported, on Saturday, to the courts the publication on TikTok of a video by this influencer residing in Montpellier, in which he called for violence against a Algerian anti-regime protester.

A first Algerian influencer, Youcef A., nicknamed “Zazouyoussef”, was arrested in Brest on Friday morning following the publication, on December 31, of a video in which he called in Arabic, with subtitles in French, to commit attacks in France and violence in Algeria. He was placed in pre-trial detention on Saturday, following his police custody, said the Brest public prosecutor, Camille Miansoni. Aged 25, Youcef A. will be tried on February 24 by the Brest Criminal Court for “public apology for an act of terrorism”, and faces seven years of imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 euros.

A second Algerian, Imad Tintin, was arrested, again on Friday, and placed in police custody in Echirolles (Isère), near Grenoble, for videos similar to those of Youcef A. He was presented to a judge on Sunday, with a view to an immediate appearance, Monday, for “direct provocation to an act of terrorism”, declared the Grenoble public prosecutor's office. Contrary to the requisitions, which had requested pre-trial detention, the judge of freedoms and detention decided to place the influencer under simple judicial supervision, according to the Grenoble prosecutor's office. However, his immediate appearance is confirmed for Monday, at 1:30 p.m. Aged 31, he published a video, now withdrawn, calling for “burn alive, kill and rape on French soil”according to a capture of the video taken by the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, who had mentioned comments “despicable”.
