If Austria is not celebrating at the start of the alpine ski season, the situation is quite different in ski jumping. The last stage of the Four Hills Tour, which takes place on Monday in Bischofshofen in the state of Salzburg, will thus have the false air of a national championship: the final victory will probably be decided between Stefan Kraft, Jan Hörl and Daniel Tschofenig, who respectively count 887, 887 and 886 points. After his fourth place on Saturday in Innsbruck, it would now take a small miracle for Gregor Deschwanden, fourth with 863 units, to climb onto the podium. But above all it would take a catastrophe for the 33-year-old from Lucerne not to achieve the best result of his career in the prestigious competition.
