Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series promises to be the most anticipated of the start of the year. One of the reasons for this enthusiasm, beyond the success of the range, is the possibility of seeing the new Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC on all models internationally. And the latest tests appearing on Geekbench tend to confirm this rumor.
Unlike its predecessors, this generation would completely abandon Exynos chips in favor of a 100% Snapdragon strategy, a welcome change after years of criticism about the performance differences between these two processor ranges.

A standardized range?
While there was no doubt that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would feature the chipset high-end from Qualcomm, the informant Tarun Vats relayed on X/Twitter a benchmark of the standard S25 affirming that the copy, armed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, would indeed be available on the European market. The Galaxy S25 model tested, running Android 15 with 12 GB of RAM, obtained 2986 points in single-core and 9355 in multi-core, a score however less impressive than certain competitors armed with the same SoC.
However, this result should be taken with a grain of salt, since it may be a prototype, and the final version could integrate improvements or even be equipped with the Exynos 2500 spotted in a test of the Galaxy S25+ at the end of 2024. As a reminder, the S23 series benefited from a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, across the entire range globally.
Leaf stripping already well underway
Besides the question of the chip, rumors indicate that the Galaxy S25 would have a 6.2-inch 120 Hz Amoled screen, a full triple photo module, a 4000 mAh battery, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and would support the 5G and wifi 7. There are only a few days left to wait, since according to South Korean media, Samsung has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for January 22 2025.
