The City of Casablanca provides citizens with a weekly bulletin of the wholesale prices of the meats, fruits and vegetables most in demand on the markets. Prices are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the quality of the product and its origin. Please note that these prices are only valid for the wholesale market and not for retailers.

Slight increase in sheep meat prices

The indicative prices of sheep meat recorded a slight increase this week, with an increase of 2 DH, bringing prices to a range between 100 and 120 DH/kg. On the other hand, the viandes bovines experienced a drop of 1 DH, with prices oscillating between 80 and 89 DH/kg.

Evolution of vegetable prices

The prices ofvegetables show modest variations. THE tomatoes saw their price increase by 0.70 DH/kg, reaching a maximum of 4.20 DH/kg. THE carrots show a drop of 0.30 DH/kg, stabilizing their price at 2 DH/kg. The other vegetables remain unchanged: lfresh onion remains at 2.20 DH/kg, the potatoes at 3.80 DH/kg, and courgettes from 5,50 DH/kg.

Stability of fruit prices

On the fruit side, prices remain stable. THE lawyers remain at 17 DH/kg, while the imported bananas are at 13 DH/kg and the local bananas from 7,50 DH/kg. Less oranges are sold at 5.50 DH/kg, pomegranates at 7 DH/kg, and imported apples at 22 DH/kg, compared to 12 DH/kg for local varieties.
