The rate of beneficiaries of the promotion this year was around 68% of the total number of those registered on the advancement tables, adds the same source in a press release, noting that this is a high and unprecedented rate compared to in recent years.

The press release specifies that the beneficiaries of the advancement for this same year are divided between police officers in uniform (7,005) and in civilian clothes (3,388).

The DGSN paid particular attention to agents of lower and middle grades, underlines the same source, indicating that 3,564 agents benefited from advancement to the rank of police brigadier, 1,269 to that of chief brigadier and 1,716 to that of senior police inspector.

The promotion juries based their deliberations on an integrated pact for evaluating the performance of civil servants and their annual rating, according to precise criteria, in particular professional competence, merit, performance and the seniority in the exercise of the profession and in the grade, the professional background and discipline of the civil servants listed in the promotion tables, as well as the nature and importance of the position and the mission.

The DGSN attaches particular importance to advancement and ensures its annual periodicity, placing it at the head of professional promotion mechanisms and as one of the main administrative incentives that encourage police officers, women and men, to do proof of greater sacrifice and self-sacrifice in the exercise of their noble missions of ensuring the security of citizens, protecting their property and improving the quality of the services offered to them, concludes the press release.
