Alessandro Mangiarratti has been released from his duties and is no longer the head coach of Yverdon Sport. This decision was taken at the time of the interim assessment of the 24/25 Super League season, in order to give the team new impetus to approach 2025.
Arrived on October 31, 2023 at Yverdon Sport, Alessandro Mangiarratti (46 years old) led his last match on the bench at the Municipal Stadium on Saturday against Sion. After keeping the team in the Super League and achieving the goal set last season (final 9th place), the 24/25 season was more difficult. In a tough championship, despite a position outside the red zone, the balance sheet at the break does not live up to expectations.
Jeffrey Saunders, president of Football at YS, comments on this choice: “ Decisions like this are never easy. Alessandro is a true professional and we appreciated all his hard work and contribution to the club. We wish him the best for the rest of his career. As we all understand, this sector is results-oriented and we need to improve. So far this season we have not achieved our goals. »
The assistant coach Francesco Pargalia was also released from duty.
The new coach of Yverdon Sport will be announced soon.
