The offer will soon be presented to the 3,000 members concerned, who will vote on it.

“The agreement will be presented to the unions during a federal RSGE council meeting on December 20,” the union said in a press release. Members will then be able to vote at the general meetings which will be held in the coming weeks.”

“Until then, the details of the agreement will remain confidential and no comments will be made,” it added.

The proposed agreement, which would last five years, would “increase the number of places, encourage the care of infants (under 18 months) and improve attraction and retention managers of an educational childcare service in a family environment,” according to what the Ministry of Families indicates in a press release.

“We will not issue any comments until the members decide,” indicates the President of the Treasury Board, Sonia Lebel, in a publication on X.

Another agreement in principle was reached last Sunday between Quebec and the Federation of Early Childhood Workers of Quebec (FIPEQ-CSQ), which has approximately 9,000 members.

On the side of Early Childhood Centers (CPE), discussions are continuing.
