In the Council of Ministers, Ousmane Sonko discusses the evaluation of human resources in public administration

In his communication, the Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, noted the crucial importance of assessing the availability of quality human resources in public administration for the implementation of the Senegal 2050 National Transformation Agenda.

In this regard, he invited Ministers to combine capacity building of agents, through a standardized framework of training plans, and the identification of skills gaps that can be filled by mobility within the public service.

Referring to the upcoming budgetary debates in the National Assembly, the Prime Minister recalled the guiding principles which governed the development of the 2025 Finance Law, centered on the rationalization of investment and current expenditure as well as on efforts to increase in revenue, in view of the reference situation of public finances revealed by the audits.

He asked Ministers to fully embrace this philosophy of the new governance of public finances which required arbitration on budgetary requests. It was decided to only include in the budget mature projects and programs with a strong economic and social impact.
