Lucas Hernandez's home in was the subject of an attempted intrusion this Tuesday a few hours before Saint-Germain's match at Salzburg in the Champions League, according to RTL and L'Equipe. Despite the presence of the defender's partner, who confirmed the incident on social networks, no injuries were reported after security intervened to put the burglars to flight.

It seems like that was all they were waiting for. Back in the PSG group for the first time this season and arriving in Salzburg on Monday before the match on the sixth day of the Champions League, Lucas Hernandez was the victim of an attempted intrusion at his home located in Yvelines .

In the absence of the Ile-de- defender, five individuals attempted to break into his home according to information from RTL and the newspaper L'Equipe. Around 10 a.m., the criminals allegedly tried to enter the home of the 2018 world champion to rob him.

But the intervention of agents from the security company who monitor the property would have put the intruders to flight. Still according to information released in the media, shots were fired – potentially with a blank pistol – to scare off the burglars.

Lucas Hernandez's wife present but hidden

No injuries were reported and although the five burglars were able to escape, the gendarmerie opened an investigation to try to find them. Other good news, Lucas Hernandez's partner was not affected. In the evening, Victoria Triay thanked their guard dog for its role during the attempted intrusion.

If the defender's wife had been there at the time of the incident, she would have quickly managed to reach safety in an annex of the house in the garden. The thieves being put to flight by security, no loot would be to be deplored.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that a PSG player has been targeted by burglars. During a Ligue 1 match against , the family of Angel Di Maria was the victim of a violent homejacking in March 2021.

More recently, goalkeepers Alexandre Letellier and Gianluigi Donnarumma were also the subject of burglaries at their homes, in December 2023 and April 2024 respectively.
