33,000 homes still without electricity this Saturday afternoon

Some 18,000 homes remained without electricity early Saturday evening, mainly in and the " rel="tag">Pays de la Loire, after the passage of the Caetano storm the day before, announced the electricity network manager Enedis, which hopes to reconnect all its customers between now and Sunday evening.

18,000 customers are still without power at 6 p.m. this Saturday. “95% of customers who had been deprived of electricity will be replenished by Enedis teams by this evening in accordance with our objective,” the company said in a press release. According to Enedis, “the most affected regions are Normandy (9,000) and Pays de Loire (7,500)”. The manager “has set himself the objective of replenishing all customers for tomorrow (Sunday) evening”.

According to a previous report, the number of homes without electricity, which had risen “to 270,000 during the night from Thursday to Friday”, was only 47,000 this Saturday morning.

Still according to the press release, this Saturday afternoon, the regions most affected by power cuts are “Normandy (15,500) and Pays de la Loire (12,000)”.

Enedis recalled having mobilized in advance 2,200 of its technicians and 400 service providers, specifying that they “have been mobilized for repairs since the travel safety conditions were met”, after this first snowy episode of the season, during from which winds blew up to 130 km/h.
