Welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the first stage of the Tour de France 2024, 111th edition of the Grande Boucle – and the first not to arrive in Paris, because of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Quoi ? The first stage of the Tour de France, which starts in Italy. 206 kilometres long, this grand start of the Grande Boucle attacks strongly from the start. Between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, the stage takes in the hills, and accumulates more than 3,600 metres of positive elevation gain.
Or ? After leaving Florence, the thirteenth country visited by the Grande Boucle, the peloton will crisscross Italy, from the cradle of the Renaissance to the seaside resort on the Adriatic coast, with no less than seven difficulties scattered along the route.
When ? The actual start will be at 12:40 p.m. and the riders are expected to cross the finish line at 5:34 p.m. if they ride at an average speed of 42 kilometers per hour.
On which channels? France 2, France 3 and Eurosport 1.
Who is hosting the live? Louise Le Borgne and Oscar Korbosli will be the gregarious from the Kop d’Austerlitz to launch this new edition of the Tour.
