Friday morning, Roger Chudeau, outgoing National Rally deputy for Loir-et-Cher and “Mr. Education” of the far-right party, assured on X that “the position I expressed regarding Mme Vallaud-Belkacem on BFM-TV is a strictly personal opinion and in no way commits the National Rally.

The day before, he had estimated on Thursday on BFM-TV that a member of the government could not be binational, because that posed a “dual loyalty problem”taking the example of the former Minister of Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem whose appointment was ” a mistake “.

Asked about the jobs that the National Rally would prohibit to citizens holding dual nationality in the event of accession to power, Mr. Chudeau mentioned ministerial jobs, citing a “specific example” : “Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Franco-Moroccan, what did she do? She destroyed the public middle school and, above all, she wanted to institute Arabic classes in CP”he said.

The former Minister of Education under the presidency of François Hollande, candidate in Corrèze, did not respond to Mr. Chudeau but called on the Macronist majority to“engage, every time that[’elle] arrived[e] third, to [se] withdraw in favor of the candidate who respects the values ​​of the Republic”on X.
