Jules, headphones around his neck, lifts up T-shirts laid out in piles in the Le 17 store: “I was going to the optician and I take the opportunity to go shopping. I don’t have any particular needs but I check to see if expensive brands are on sale. If I have a crush, I’ll buy. Otherwise, I’m more of a second-hand person.” Even in sales, new clothes always seem disproportionately expensive compared to second-hand items, sometimes like new or in very good condition.

Elia also buys second-hand goods all year round, but “I go to the sales in the summer to change my wardrobe a bit and treat myself. Up until now, we weren’t really in the ‘dress mood’.” Klein blue or grass green? Soraya hesitates and puts her head under the hangers of the two long dresses to get an idea.
