Showers with perhaps a risk of thunderstorms will hold up a little in certain sectors of Quebec this Thursday, while waiting for the return of generous sunshine to end the week.

The mercury will be falling with values significantly below seasonal norms, including in Montreal where it will be 23 degrees, while elsewhere in the province temperatures will oscillate between 15 and 21 degrees.

For this Thursday, Environment Canada is forecasting an alternation of sun and clouds in the southwest with more clearings in the Outaouais and a few morning showers in the Montreal region.

In the center of the province, showers will be accompanied by a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon in Quebec and Estrie under gray skies and temperatures of 20 degrees, or even lower in areas a little further north, such as Saguenay.

But it is in Eastern Quebec that the showers will be more sustained since the federal agency predicts 15 to 25 millimeters in certain sectors of Gaspésie. The weather will also be cloudy on the North Shore, where it will be cooler with only 15 degrees on the thermometer.

However, this gloomy weather will be history on Friday, as the federal agency anticipates generous sunshine throughout the province with a few scattered clouds in Eastern Quebec, even if temperatures will remain below seasonal norms.
