The recent events in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, following the match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv are still causing controversy within Dutch political circles.
In this context, the leader of the extremist Dutch Freedom Party, Geert Wilders, called for the expulsion of Moroccans residing in the Netherlands against the backdrop of these events.
Wilders tried to inflame the atmosphere in the Dutch Parliament, holding the Moroccan community residing in the Netherlands responsible for what happened in Amsterdam, after violent clashes broke out between supporters of the Palestinian cause and supporters of the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Wilders claimed that Moroccans participated in the persecution of Jews and launched raids, while calling their actions “jihad” on Dutch territory.
Wilders called for the expulsion of Moroccan youth, considering them primarily responsible for the events in Amsterdam.
