The 12 Coups de Noël: Bruno Hourcade reacts to his victory against Emilien!

This Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Bruno Hourcade aka Fifou won the special show Les 12 Coups de Noël as a team with Jarry. Facing him, the unmistakable Emilien, who this time had no choice but to bow. So, what does it do?

Like every year, Jean-Luc Reichmann presented his special show on the evening of December 24 The 12 Christmas Coups. A show that brings together former (or current) Midday Masters, as well as celebrities. So gathered on the TF1 set were Xavier, the only Maître de midi to have never been defeated (he left the game himself believing he had won enough money), Céline, the greatest Mistress of Midday, Bruno , alias Fifou, long undisputed Maître de midi, and Emilien, current Maître de midi and the greatest player in the history of games with a prize pool amounting to more than a million euros. As a guest star, viewers could count on the presence of Patrick Fiori, Soprano, Michèle Bernier and Jarry.

Bruno surprised by his victory against Emilien

And if Xavier remains undefeated and Emilien, unbeatable, the two candidates were nevertheless the first two to be eliminated. A result of which Bruno Hourcade was the first to be surprised, as he confided to our colleagues at Tele-Leisure : “With Céline, we weren't favorites at all. There was a commercial break just before the Fatal Coup started, and we said to ourselves: 'We're taking advantage of this moment. This is the last time that this happens in history. We both thought we would be eliminated first by Xavier and Émilien.” But in particular thanks to Jarry who promised to “give your all”Bruno Hourcade won the show against Céline. A victory of which he is proud: “This is the second bonus that I have won. Finally, when we look at the history, we say to ourselves that there are not that many people who have won two bonuses. Even if it is an edition of Christmas and not a Battle of the Masters, I'll take it anyway.”

The 12 Coups de Noël, easier than The 12 Coups de Midi?

If he assures that on paper, he was no match for Xavier and Emilien, Bruno has a rational explanation for his victory: “(Céline and I, editor’s note) we know very well that in terms of general culture, compared to Xavier and Émilien, we are not at all at the level. But in the 12 Coups de Noël, the questions are different : these are anecdotes, slightly funny questions, musical questions, etc. It's less pure general culture as we hear on a daily basis, even if we still learn lots of things. This makes the door open for everyone.”

Less pressure than in a Masters Fight

A victory that he savors all the more since he had a great time on set. “The 12 Christmas Coups always goes well since it’s above all entertainmenthe explains. We come back to have fun with each other. Even if we compete and there are eliminations, the challenge is above all to offer a moment of entertainment to the viewers, especially those who are alone on the evening of December 24, and to play to win meals at the Restos du Cœur. (…) I prefer this to Masters Combat, because there is a lot less pressure.”
