Did you know that nearly 700 researchers work at Orange every day, including around a hundred doctoral students? To highlight their talent and expertise, Orange created the competition “ My thesis in 3 minutes “. Objective ? Summarize three years of thesis in three minutes, in the most interesting and clear way possible, in front of an initiated audience or not. A unique opportunity for doctoral students to promote their research work to a wide audience, as well as to develop their skills in public speaking and scientific popularization.
The candidates for this competition, doctoral students of 2e et 3e year, were selected for their ability to popularize complex concepts, making science accessible to all. However, the eight candidates in the running this year will benefit from personalized support in speaking, in particular through training in public speaking and eloquence. They will receive advice on how to “put themselves on stage”, acquire the right posture and know how to captivate their audience in three minutes maximum. A real challenge!

On November 27, the winners will come and pitch to Orange OpenTech 2024Orange’s flagship innovation event which will be held from November 26 to 28 at the Orange Gardens site, Orange’s innovation campus near Paris. A gathering of key players in Orange’s innovation ecosystem united around a common vision, that of open and collaborative innovation. Facing the winners, a varied audience, made up of decision-makers, partners and business experts. At the end of the presentations, three prizes will be awarded: two jury prizes Orange OpenTech and the public award.
