Is the Israeli army sharing its plans with Benjamin Netanyahu? On Sunday, after announcing (in English and Arabic) a daily “tactical pause” to allow supplies to the population of Gaza, the army clarified (in Hebrew) that this “pause” did not mean the cessation of fighting in southern Gaza, but only the “securing” of a road that would allow humanitarian aid access during the day. At the same time, the Israeli government announced that it had not been kept informed of this army initiative. Benyamin Netanyahu would have learned about it through public announcements, and he would have opposed it.
