The fifth edition of the “Morocco Berry Conference” will bring together more than 500 participants, including 200 international guests, to discuss innovations and growth strategies of the red fruit industry in Morocco.
The objective of this conference is to strengthen Morocco’s position as a world leader in red fruits, while highlighting sustainable agricultural practices and creating opportunities for local communities. The sessions will cover varied themes, such as market trends, sustainability, varietal selection and technological advances.
More than 50 companies will present their innovations in a dedicated space, allowing participants to discover solutions intended to optimize production and reduce environmental impact. Issues such as reducing water consumption and optimizing supply chains, crucial for the future of the sector, will also be discussed.
Morocco is currently the fifth largest exporter of blueberries in the world and represents around 10% of global exports of red fruits. In 2023, the country exported more than 200,000 tons of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, generating more than $600 million in revenue. This strategic sector has become a pillar of the Moroccan agricultural economy, supporting thousands of jobs and the income of many rural families.
