Lhe Brussels mayor Philippe Close is one of four socialists who won a federal deputy seat in the capital on Sunday. Appearing in fourth place, he obtained 12,610 preference votes. He certainly contributed to helping his party win a fourth seat in Brussels, compared to three in 2019. Note, however, that the list, however, received almost 4,000 fewer votes. At the beginning of July, Philippe Close will not, however, take the oath of office in the Chamber. He aims to remain mayor after the local elections next October and therefore wishes to concentrate 100% on the management of his municipality and the electoral campaign, which is already in full swing.
