The negotiations launched by the left-wing parties on Monday June 10 resulted in a first agreement. The Socialist Party (PS), the French Communist Party (PCF), the Ecologists and La France insoumise (LFI) said shortly after 10:30 p.m. “in each constituency (…) support unique applications from the first round » legislative elections. “We call for the creation of a new popular front bringing together in a new form all the humanist, union, associative and citizen forces of the left”write the signatory parties, saying they wish “build an alternative to Emmanuel Macron and fight the racist project of the far right”. The text also calls for “join the processions” planned this weekend at the call of the CFDT, the CGT, the UNSA, the FSU and Solidaires and at “manifest widely”.

The left-wing parties met on Monday afternoon to find a union for the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7, an early vote due to the dissolution of the National Assembly announced Sunday evening by Emmanuel Macron, after the results European elections won by the National Rally, far ahead of the presidential camp.
