Mbacké, Nov 4 (APS) – The head of the departmental list of the PASTEF party (power), announces favoring local visits, door-to-door visits and the organization of panels on the content of the “Senegal horizon 2050” framework for convince voters in view of the early legislative elections on November 17.
“The department of Mbacké is a special constituency with its realities. Political activities are formally prohibited in Touba, which polarizes the largest number of voters in the department. This is why we relied on proximity to share with the populations the projects of the authorities in place and the importance they attach to the department in general and the city of Touba in particular,” explained Cheikh Thioro Mbacké.
In the commune of Touba, for example, his coalition favors door-to-door canvassing as well as holding panels to share with the population the content of the new public policy framework “Senegal horizon 2050”, he added.
According to Cheikh Thioro Mbacké, during this campaign, the local electoral committee of the ruling party opted for a departmental caravan to cover the sixteen communes of the Mbacké department.
Once re-elected as a deputy, he promises to continue the fight that he had already started in the National Assembly for access to drinking water for populations and improvement of the living environment.
The outgoing MP said he was reassured on this issue with the official launch of the Large Water Transfer (GTE) project from Lake Guiers to Dakar, Mbour, Thiès and Touba, an “old grievance” which, according to him , will ”considerably improve the availability of the precious liquid in Touba and surrounding areas”.
The head of the departmental list of PASTEF in Mbacké, is also committed to leading advocacy for the strengthening of basic social infrastructure and the electrification of peripheral villages.
