You who dream of leading a bohemian life in a house lost in the middle of nature, don’t go and see The Shadocks, at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais, in Geneva. In unvarnished slices of life, Christian Geffroy Schlittler depicts the destiny of Caroline and Alexandre, libertarians reclusive in their “Manor” and whose state, at 50, oscillates between hysteria and hypochondria. We then realize the limits of too much confinement.

But this piece, co-written with the magnificent performers Julie-Kazuko Rahir, David Gobet and Aline Bonvin, is obviously not black/white. Through Judith, a young eco-volunteer, the author reinjects a salutary revolutionary spirit.
