Radiofrequency revolutionizes proctology

It is high time to say goodbye to hemorrhoids and the suffering of traditional surgery, which is often painful and restrictive. Today, thanks to radiofrequency, this reality can become a thing of the past for Moroccan patients. The Pasteur Clinic is taking a major step into the world of health innovation. Today, June 4, the clinical center organized proctological surgical operations using this promising technique.

This major innovation, long awaited by Moroccan patients, was introduced by a team of renowned health experts and professors, composed of Professor Moulay El Hassan Tahiri, Sofia Idrissi and Professor Paul Antoine Lehur. Ten patients, carefully selected, were able to benefit from this promising new approach.

Approached by Hespress FR, Moulay El Hassan Tahiri, proctologist explained to us that “For several years, I have been committed to promoting minimally invasive surgery and minimally invasive proctology in Morocco. Indeed, this approach offers many advantages compared to traditional surgery, including reduced complications, faster recovery and better comfort for the patient.”.

It is in this context that we introduced radiofrequency at the Pasteur clinic, a first in Morocco. This innovative technique uses radio waves to precisely target and destroy diseased tissue, thereby limiting damage to surrounding healthy tissue.”, he adds.

The first patient treated with radiofrequency at the Pasteur clinic was a success. Expressing his enjoyment, the proctology expert indicates that “we are very satisfied with the results and confident in the potential of this technique to improve the care of patients suffering from proctological diseases”.

Radiofrequency has several advantages over laser: “deep diffusion: Radiofrequency penetrates deeper into tissues than laser, allowing deeper lesions to be treated. It is generally less painful than laser, which allows for faster recovery and greater comfort for the patient. Radiofrequency has a hemostatic effect, that is to say it stops bleeding, which can be an important advantage in certain pathologies”, reiterates the specialist.

According to the words of Moulay El Hassan Tahiri, “Proctological diseases represent more than 30% of surgical consultations in Morocco and throughout the world. They are often sources of discomfort and pain, and can have a significant impact on patients’ quality of life.”.

Radiofrequency offers a new, gentler and more effective therapeutic alternative for the treatment of proctological diseases. It allows patients to regain optimal living comfort and return to their activities more quickly.

We are determined to continue our research and develop new techniques to improve the care of patients suffering from proctological diseases. Radiofrequency is an important step in this process, and we are convinced that it will significantly improve the quality of life of Moroccan patients.”, promises the professor.

Also contacted by Hespress FR, Sofia Idrissi, surgical oncologist, shares her pride with us: “JI had the honor of being part of the group of Professor Moulay Hassan Tahiri, a recognized expert in the field of proctology, for two enriching years. Within this dynamic team, I had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of invasive proctological surgeries.”.

Thanks to this technique, we will have the privilege of helping many patients return to a normal, discomfort-free life. Witnessing their relief and their newfound joy of living, I was deeply touched by the positive impact of our work”, rejoices the specialist.

As a group, “we are resolutely committed to introducing the latest techniques in proctological intervention in Morocco. Radiofrequency, a major innovation, allows patients to return to normal life quickly and with minimal post-operative consequences.”, she adds.

Aware of the added value of radio frequency, the specialist promises an unwavering commitment: “We are only at the beginning of this promising adventure. Drawing on our experience and driven by a common passion, we continue our commitment by conducting in-depth studies to further optimize the techniques and care provided to patients.”.
