On her arrival at the equestrian village, Princess Lalla Hasnaa was welcomed by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports, before reviewing a section of the Auxiliary Forces which rendered the honors.

Princess Lalla Hasnaa was subsequently greeted by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication , Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, the ambassador of the State of Qatar in Rabat, Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani, the secretary general of the ministry of national education, preschool and sports, Younes Shimi, the president of the Moroccan national Olympic committee , Faïçal Laraïchi, the wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, governor of the Rabat prefecture, Mohamed Yacoubi, the president of the Council of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Rachid El Abdi, the president of the Municipal Council of Rabat, Fatiha El Moudni, and the president of the council of the Rabat prefecture, Abdelaziz Derouiche.

Princess Lalla Hasnaa was also greeted by Adil El Fakir, Director General of the National Airports Office and Commissioner General of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, Sheikh Fahad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, head of the cabinet of Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, member of the executive board of the Qatar Museum, Jan Tops, president of Global Champions Tour and Urs Schiendorfer, Longines global consultant for equestrian sports.

Subsequently, Princess Lalla Hasnaa returned to the Salon d’Honneur from where she followed the final of this prestigious show jumping event.

At the end of this competition, Princess Lalla Hasnaa presented the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Trophy (2024 edition) to the Austrian Max Kühner, who occupied first place in the ranking at the end of the 15 stages of this international circuit , while the 2nd and 3rd places went respectively to Christian Kukuk (Germany) and Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (Germany).

Princess Lalla Hasnaa subsequently posed for a souvenir photo with the three winning riders.

On this occasion, prizes were also awarded to the grooms who joined the winners on the podium.

As for the show jumping Grand Prix of the final stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, which took place in Rabat, it was won by the Spanish rider Eduardo Alvarez Aznar, while the 2nd and 3rd Prizes were won respectively by the Swedish Malin Baryard-Johnsson and the German Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann.

After iconic cities such as , New York, Monaco and Riyadh, the famous equestrian show jumping competition, Longines Global Champions Tour 2024, took place for the very first time in Rabat, Morocco, from 18 to 20 october.

This prestigious event, whose reputation is worldwide, was held for the first time on African soil. It is part of the Morocco-Qatar Cultural Year 2024 which, initiated by “Years of Culture”, testifies to the depth of the strong and historical ties between the two brother peoples and the two Heads of State, the King Mohammed VI and Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani.

The holding of this show jumping circuit in Rabat has a high symbolic value, especially since Morocco has over the centuries had a particular attachment to the horse, this divine creature rooted in the heritage traditions of the Kingdom. .

The Longines Global Champions Tour is, in fact, the largest show jumping series in the world. The circuit promotes excellence in equestrian sports, showcasing the highest levels of competition and sportsmanship.
