The first basic bulletin of the day from Riad Kawar has just been released. It will be valid until further notice. He also announces other follow-up bulletins that will come in the afternoon.

DAKAR REGION AND COASTAL STRIP:
After the second sequence of heavy rains that fell between late at night and early this morning, rather light to moderate showers will continue to fall in sequences over the Region during the morning going into the afternoon, with cloudy skies. The lull will normally return by this evening. The sky is being monitored, and publications will be made to accompany the developments. We are on the periphery of a storm system that is at sea, and which randomly causes showers to overflow onto the Senegalese coast, requiring monitoring.
THE COAST IN GENERAL: We are currently facing a rainy system whose center is at sea, and generates rain on the coastal part at times, and of varying intensities. Expect more showers in the coming hours in the Regions of Zinguinchor, Sedhiou, Fatick, Thiès, the West of the Regions of Diourbel and Kaolack, and the West of Gambia …
The situation is returning to mostly calm in the West of the Louga and Regions, with cloudy skies and a few showers or drops of rain still possible in places and at times.
OTHER REGIONS OF SENEGAL:
Situation mostly calm in other Regions and localities not mentioned. The sky remains monitored.
Arrival of new storms and showers by the afternoon in the Kedougou region and the east of the Tambacounda region (to be continued).
THE SEA: Sequences of showers on the Cap Skiring / Banjul / Mbour / Dakar axis.
